THE HNH SANCTUARY

one rescue can change thousands of lives

We open our doors and hearts to the broken, abused, neglected, at-risk, and abandoned animals others have left behind, giving them the chance to heal and thrive in sanctuary. Though our physical location is at capacity, the ripple effect of our work continues to grow, touching the hearts of those around us in powerful ways. Every rescue is more than saving a life; it’s planting seeds of compassion, empathy, and resilience for the generations that follow. At HNH, we’re not just changing the lives of animals, we’re helping to change the lives of people, too.

VISIT

When a horse is rescued, healing begins. When a child is taught, resilience grows. When a trainer is equipped, the impact multiplies into a network of lasting change.

One leap of love ripples hope throughout entire generations.

RESCUE & REHABILITATION

Sanctuary begins at the moment of rescue but it doesn’t end there. For some horses, it stretches across decades until their very last day. Each life we save is a long-term promise, not a short-term victory.

While we dream of rescuing, retraining, and rehoming as many animals as possible, our first priority is to steward well the ones who call this sanctuary home forever. Their well-being is our legacy. Protecting their longevity means consistent, excellent veterinary care, gentle training through positive reinforcement, and the daily acts of love that build trust and dignity over a lifetime.

Sanctuary is not only a safe pasture, it is the quiet commitment to walk beside these animals for as long as they need us. It is choosing to value every story, every scar, and every breath, knowing true rescue is measured not just in moments of saving, but in the lifetime of care that follows. As we get more funding and more land, we will be able to open our arms to more horses needing all of us.

NEXT GENERATION

Horses are our best teachers, reflecting emotions, modeling trust, and challenging ego. We have been working tirelessly on developing an 8 week program that weaves together faith, science, and horsemanship. Every session is layered with moments of growth, overcoming fear, learning responsibility, and reminding children true relationship takes effort.

Through our horses and farm animals at HNH, we hope to raise up the next generation with resilience, compassion, and autonomy. It’s not just horsemanship, it’s life training, grounded in scripture and guided by connection. When a child leaves the stable, they carry these lessons into every corner of their life. And as we expand through our Trainer Certification Program, we dream of these lessons rippling far beyond our barn, multiplied by other trainers across the nation, each one carrying the same heart for healing.

This is more than a program. It is a legacy; one that begins in the barn, but is written into the lives of children, families, and communities for years to come.

A HOME TO ROAM

At HNH, sanctuary is more than rescuing horses, it is about creating a place where life can flourish. To do this well, we need space. Our vision is to expand onto land that will allow the sanctuary to breathe, grow, and become largely self-sustaining. Pastures and barns for animals to heal, gardens and a farm shop to support daily care, and an event venue where neighbors and families can gather, celebrate, and break bread together.

This land would not only provide for more rescues and open doors for more children, but it would also become a community anchor: a place of belonging, restoration, and hope. By protecting open space from overdevelopment, we create a ranch that serves both present needs and future generations.

Expansion is not simply “more”, it is about stewardship. It is about building a sanctuary that can sustain itself, a gathering place where faith, rescue, and community life intertwine, and a legacy that will continue long after us.
